Happy birthday to Linda at Worcester

birthday-flowers.gif

Love from Peter Barbs and all the family.

SNOW!

Yesterday, in Barrow, it snowed, well rain and snow. Mind you I can’t really say we are at ground level! Thanks Ted for the sunrise/sunset table. By the end of the month we will almost have a further hour of sun(?)light, than on January 1st.

Happy New Year to all, and hope that 2009 will be a better one. Having said that, some happy things happened as well as the not so happy things. Births of Edward (little little Teddy) and Jonathan, to name but 2.

Like Ted said, it’s nice for us “older” folk not to have to get up so early (we lie in bed and think about you Richard!). If you have retired, let us know and we needn’t think about you delivering milk to far-flung places in Worcestershire, getting up at some ungodly hour.

Seriously, folks we do think about you all, and wish we could come round and and give you all hugs. Our hugs are not the same as Ted’s, I don’t know why.
However we send our love to you all, and should have some new photos of William and Edward to show you soon.

God Bless,

Pete and Barbara xxxx

Andee and Janette

Just thinking about you, and hoping you are feeling OK Janette. I know we only live around the corner, but nevertheless you are in our thoughts and prayers. Lovely photos of Nadia.
‘Bye and Blessings, Love Barb and Pete (Pedro!) xxxx

William and EdwardWilliam and Edward

He’s done it at last! Posting a photograph to the blog.

Peter has at last taken the plunge and produced a photograph of the boys
for me to upload. He hope it works?? We have thousands of photographs of the boys but this was only taken two weeks ago and is the latest one. Thank you for your colour instructions, but, as a mere OAP (female), I have lost the ability to do two new things at once!

By the way, we celebrate Christmas, celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus as the greatest gift from God, and the words “Winter Festival” are banned from our household. Let us rejoice in this fact as a family.

Must close now. Our love to everyone, be in touch soon,
Barbara and Peter xxxxx

No, we haven’t disappeared.

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. I have been reading the blog, looking up Indian Summers, wondering if I have the brains to make letters coloured, and generally catching up with all your news!

I don’t think I’m very good at this “visual” thingy. Maybe “fly-on-the-wall” can write it in words of one syllable, and show me where the”visual” tab is?

Our family is OK. Phil was working abroad for short periods eg. Spain,Sweden,Italy,Poland, Germany to mention but a few, but is now working from home. Ali is kept busy with Billy and little Ted ‘tho Billy is at full-time school now.Pete and I are taking it in turns to take to our beds with painful joints. Poppy, our border collie, also has a dysplasic hip joint, so we take it in turns to discuss our symptoms and than take the pills!

Just think, you may get my next post in colour, but until then black and white will have to do.

Congratulations to James, Katia and Gabriella on the wonderful birth of Jonathan. The pictures are fantastic. Pete may think he knows about all this technology, but he hasn’t worked out how to put photies on the blog. Listen out for a ‘phone call, “fly - on - the - wall!”

Life here in Barrow goes on as usual, more roads closed, more traffic bumps, diversions here there and everywhere, more shops closed, the best reason for living here is the panoramic view we get from our house, from Morecambe Bay on the left (South) to the Lower slopes of the Combe (North), and the wonderful sunsets, when it’s not raining! So, we are alive and well(??), and we send our love to you all. Barb and Pete xxx (+Poppy).

For you - a pleasure, my dear. Lord Fly.

WHERE IS EVERYONE?

Now our dear Mum,Gran, Great Gran has gone from our sight, have we all forgotten those left behind? I’m sure Mum would be sad to see this decline in our blog. As well as caring for Mum, Ted put a lot of work into this communication system. It is quite upsetting to see this lack of info. news, comments (even a weather update!)
Please let us not forget the blog. We are all busy people and give our own immediate families time and news, but Mum loves us all, and her dearest wish was that we should not lose contact with each other.
Sorry for the “sermon”. Love to you ALL, Barbara xxxxxx

IT’S A BOY!

Alison and Phil are the proud parents of a son born this morning at 11.31am. He weighed in at 9lbs 7oz and is called Edward Terrence. Edward, obviously a Talbot family name, and Terrence after Ali’s Dad. Mother and baby are both well, I’m not sure about Daddy! William is very pleased, and had been saying he wanted a brother, so I dread to think of his reaction if it had been a girl! Ali and Phil did not know the sex of the baby until it arrived. We are travelling to Manchester tomorrow (Fri) to see them all. We will post some photos asap.
Love to you all Barbara and Peter xxxx

MUM

I would like to share this scripture with you.

“And God will wipe every tear from their eyes; There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation ch 21 verse 4.
Love to you all,
Barbara xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BROTHER!

Dear Ted, we wish you a very happy birthday today, and hope you have many more! A BIG thankyou for all your care to me (Mum), and thank you from us.
Lots and lots of love, and God Bless you on this special day.
From Mum, Peter and Barbara, also Phil, Ali and William. xxxx Big licks from Poppy.

UPDATE ON MUM

EVENING OF 2ND JUNE. PETER VISITED MUM TODAY AND FOUND HER A LITTLE DESPONDENT ABOUT HER SLEEP PATTERNS, BUT HOPEFUL THAT THE NEW CARE PLANS WOULD BE HELPFUL. SHE FELT TIRED, BUT FOUND THAT SHE WAS UNABLE TO DOSE. SHE BRIGHTENED UP TOWARDS TEA TIME, AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH HER CARE PLAN, SHE ASKED PETER TO HELP FEED HER. SHE WAS VERY CHEERFUL AFTER TRIFLE, AND FINISHED A GOOD MEAL.

SHE HAS NOT SLEPT AT ALL TODAY AND SHE IS HOPING THAT THIS WILL GIVE HER A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP.

SHE SENDS HER LOVE TO YOU ALL, AND SO DO WE.
