GOODBYE TO 2008

Hi everyone,

I dont know if any of you have looked back over the blog archive for 2008. Last January Mum’s condition was slowly deteriorating. We also attended the funeral of her sister Kathleen in January. Then on 8th February little mum went into hospital where she passed away on 11th February. I found it all quite tear-jerking to read and live over again.

Since then life has resumed a more normal course for us all, although it is not possible to do many things without being reminded of her. I couldn’t count the number of times I have been brought to a halt and had to exclaim “Eh little mum!” as I have come across something poignant. But during the past year since she went I have received reassurance after reassurance that she is alive and well with dad and Gwen: still actively with us and caring for her big family. For me the year has been a journey of discovery as I was led from here to here to there - the whole still-continuing journey speaking of that same thing - that all is well with them, and the best is yet to come

HELLO TO 2009

That the best is yet to come takes some believing as we take our first tentative steps into 2009 and look around. One thing that is for certain is that the best, when it does come, will not be happening in the UK. But I’ll not get into that for therein lies despair.

For we lesser mortals the New Year lies at our feet. And the secret of surviving and enjoying it is to let your love flow - to your own families, to our larger family and to everyone else in the world as well. If someone doesn’t like you find it in your heart to love them and - if you are a praying person - pray down blessings into their life. If someone harms you or behaves hatefully to you, do the same - forgive them and love them and call down even more blessings into their lives. Not only will it change their attitude to you, but what you are doing will bless you too. I think the current idiom is “What goes round comes round”. Jesus said, “What you sow you reap”.  It is a law of the Universe. Sow love and reap a harvest of love, sow a blessing and get a blessing in return. And, most of all, love everybody. We are all people, all the same!

Right, for 2009, for everyone of you, and especially anyone who dislikes me or hates me or even just thinks me a bit iffy, may every imaginable blessing pour into your life to enrich it and fill it with every good thing. May you know peace in your heart and may love and happiness flow to you and from you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

EVERYONE!

Happy New Year.

Just wishing everyone a Happy New Year, and hope you all had a great Christmas, lots of love Lynda and Daniel xxx
