REGISTRATION/LOGGING-ON DIFFICULTIES
30/01/2007 by Ted.
Andrew and I made a discovery yesterday which may solve the sporadic difficulty experienced when signing in after Registration. The blog will only accept your username with a CAPITAL LETTER as the first letter. If you register with a LOWER-CASE LETTER at the beginning of your username the Blog changes this to a capital letter and then looks for the CAPITAL LETTER when you log in. If you log in with a LOWER-CASE first letter the log in is rejected.
Also, when you self-register, the registration waits at my end for approval. This is to prevent unauthorised users. Until I have OK’d it you will not be able to log on. However I check the Blog at least once every day to see if anyone has registered so it should not be a problem.
Once you have been accepted the Blog puts a cookie on your PC so that whenever you access the Blog it recognises you as a member and allows you to publish Posts. Once you are logged in you are logged in for keeps.
Hope this helps, If you have further problems please let me know.
Love to everyone,
Ted

29/01/2007 by Andrew.
Hurrah!!!! - After 1001 attempts and 101 different password / user name combinations I have finally managed to log in, its a miracle!
Thanks Ted for all your help. By the way rumour has it that its your birthday today and that you are 37 years old so if it is true have a very happy and blessed birthday you deserve it.
Somebody once told me I might be dyslexic but I don’t believe it for a minute. Anyway, greetings to all you members of the Talbot family it will be nice to be able to post and keep in touch. Janette and the little ones send their love to everyone as I do.

A CHRISTMAS POSTSCRIPT
26/01/2007 by Ted.

The manageress at St. George’s took this photograph at the Christmas Carol Service. It is reproduced here at little mum’s request as it is a rare image of Peter and Ted (singing?) together - not to mention little mum waving her tambourine to keep us in tune. She also asks me to send her love to everyone.

Talbot Blog
18/01/2007 by PeterJohnson.
Hello, it’s me again. Hope you are all well, and surviving gales, rain, flooding, and maybe snow in Scotland (Alison and family?). We have, fortunately, not come off too badly, well the roof is still on, and our two trees are still vertical. I was nearly blown away whilst walking up the drive to the car, but that is the advantage (or one of them) for carrying a bit of weight. Now, now no rude comments!
When I last let Poppy (our dog) out for a bit of fresh air, the wind had died down, but when Phil phoned me at 18.30hrs, he could not get over any bridges over the ship canal at Barton Bridge, or the Thelwall Bridge, so it took him 2 hours to get home in what usually takes 20 minutes. Still he got home safe and sound.
Must close, bed calls. Lots of love to you all, Barbara and Peter xxxxx

Keeping in touch.
16/01/2007 by PeterJohnson.
Hi everyone, hope you are all back at work (those of you who are not retired - like me!), and enjoying this wonderful January weather! I have primroses, roses, african daisies, lobelia, and geraniums flowering in the garden. Today the weather has been very sunny, but a bit parky.
Lots of love to you all, and “keep in touch!”
Barbara and Peter xxx
